Buyers of machine data
Who buys sensor data, telemetry and vehicle logs
Updated
Most data buyers ask for text, contracts or company records. A smaller set names sensor and machine data outright, and they split into physical AI data firms and data marketplaces.
Ask about my sensor data 6 of the 11 IoT platforms we read say the readings belong to the business. Tell us what your devices log and where it is stored, and we will reply by email.
Physical AI data firms
Deepen's Refinery invites owners to commercialise their own sensor data while retaining control over access and use, starting with egocentric video, motion capture and vehicle data. Scale AI describes data from robotics data factories, distributed collectors and operating businesses.

Marketplaces that list IoT data
Datarade has an IoT data category with a sign-up for data providers. AWS Data Exchange lets a provider list data products on AWS Marketplace, within its legal eligibility rules.

Vehicle data platforms
Caruso and High Mobility build their vehicle data from partnerships with manufacturers rather than from fleets, so they are a weaker door for a fleet's own readings. DIMO works with vehicles across 50+ brands and lets an owner ingest its own data through the DIMO Ingest Server.
